100 Books and Counting

It's been two months since my first book went live and I'm happy to report that I've reached a milestone...100 books sold!  No, it's not the 1,000 or 100,000 other indie authors have done, but everyone has to start somewhere.  So now I guess my next goal would be to reach the 100 books a month mark.  With Betrayal getting close to production, I don't think it's too lofty an expectation.

And speaking of Book 2...I have had some wonderful feedback from other writers and I can't wait for others to read it!  I really like the direction it took and and I'm excited to share.  My plan is to have it released within the next two weeks...so stay tuned.

Until then, I have a few other things that I will be working on, so the posts may be scarce for a while.  I am gearing up to defend my dissertation research at the end of the month, after which point I should (hopefully) be a PhD!!  It's scarier than I anticipated, and each time of think of my defense I get anxious.  I think it will go well, but I still want to make sure that I pass!

I have also partnered with some friends to begin a new program called Femme Physique.  Our fitness challenge begins in March, so that's been consuming quite a bit of time as well.  For those of you that are local...check it out and join the fun!

So writing, planning, and preparing seems to be the way of my world right now.  I have not had any time to work on Book 3 of The Syrenka Series, but it is all plotted out and ready to go.  Just a few more weeks and then I can focus on the really fun stuff again!

  1. Hey congrats, Amber!! Every milestone is a good one, be it 100, 1000 or more. Can't wait to see Betrayal! I love the cover for Promises, and I bet Betrayal's one will be even better!:D
